Hollywood Icons

Meryl Streep, Morgan Freeman, Marilyn Monroe, Angelina Jolie, Tom Hanks and George Clooney are just a few of the names that will ring a bell in many, if not everyone’s, minds.
That is because they are iconic actors and actresses.  They are the ones that leave an impact in most, if not all, of their performances.  They are the ones that own and command the stage or the camera.  These icons have under their belts numerous Academy Awards and even more nominations.  They appear in several films that are legendary.  If not, then they are the actors and actresses that make those movies renowned.

These icons are known for more than their looks, which is what Hollywood seems to be all about these days.  Not only do they have the appearance, but they have the skills and versatility to fill the other shoe of a Hollywood icon.  They master accents and the small nuances.  These icons are believable in whatever role they play, no matter how challenging or out-of-the-box it is.  They perfect the art of captivating an audience and leaving them wanting more and they have that magnetic personality and charm that is irresistible.

Anyone can become one of these icons—you just have to work for it and you have to work hard.  You need to be able to take copious and frank notes and leave with the mindset to perfect those mistakes.  You can’t be defensive and arrogant because you’ve already made it.  In the face of criticism and correction, you must remain poised and professional.  These icons are icons because they are always striving to do better, to take their best performance and work to make it ten times better.  They are the ones that love the art and put their hearts and soul into everything they do.
Hollywood icons are those actors and actresses who truly capture the essence of an actor—something we can all do if we work hard enough.  They all have that one thing, along with their substantial credits and skills, that make them legendary, make them extraordinary and breathtaking.
